The Mad River Valley is a wonderful place for families to relax together with the beautiful Vermont mountains as the backdrop.

The Valley is full of activities for kids; from world-class ski schools at our three ski mountains, to swimming and tubing in the Mad River, to dancing on the green to live music at the Farmers Market.  Check out many of the activities for kids.

At home you can enjoy the beauty of our homes while the kids relax in our customized "kid zones".   At naptime you can relax on your private deck and gaze at the mountains and our gardens. 

Our homes have many features that make them uniquely suitable for families traveling with children:

Joslin Gardens:  We can outfit the property upon request with crib and sheets, playpen and high chair.

Stony Hill Farm:  "Kid-zone" with TV room, private bedrooms, and kitchenette, perfect for cousins, friends or family groups; baby equipped with crib and sheets, high chair and playpen upon request.

The Retreat:  Unlimited access to private swimming pool and tennis courts.

Level yards with grassy lawns and perennial gardens.  Brooks, fields, farm animals, climbing trees right outside your door.

Plenty of games, videos/DVDs, outdoors sports equipment for kids of all ages.

Babysitting referrals upon request.

"Stony Hill Farm" -- (up to 14 people) -- This beautiful home on 27 private acres is perfectly laid out for families traveling together, with two master bedrooms on the upper level, entertainment areas on the main level, and three bedrooms on a private, sunny lower level with its own TV room, common room and kitchenette.  Older kids can stay in the lower level alone or two families can share the house.  NEW IN 2010:  AMAZING MULTI-LEVEL TREEHOUSE DESIGNED AND BUILT BY SOME OF THE NATION'S TOP SUSTAINABLE TREEHOUSE BUILDERS.

"Joslin Garden Suite" (up to 4 people) -- Set on 5 park-like acres in historic Waitsfield, this attached guest apartment features a private entrance, queen bedroom, large fully equipped kitchen (fridge, microwave, range), dining and living rooms, and laundry area.  Perfect for families with infants or toddlers, the bathroom has a tub and shower, the private deck overlooks the level grassy yard and lush gardens, and it is baby-equipped upon request.  Walk out your front door onto flat country roads past Von Trapp Farm and Skinner Barn for country stroller walking (don't forget to say hi to the sheep!). 

"The Retreat" (up to 8 people) -- This three bedroom townhome on Sugarbush Mountain is a terrific family getaway summer or winter for families with older kids.  The loft is a fun kids' hideaway with TV/VCR and two kid sized-futons; and the private indoor hot tub is a novelty that the kids really love.  In summertime, enjoy our heated swimming pool and private tennis courts.
