Dogs in the Valley

There are few places you can go in the Mad River Valley and not see dogs. People and their dogs travel together, hike together, swim together, and ski together.  They appear in costume to march in the 4th of July Parade.  They are a fixture at the Mad River Green Farmers' Market, sometimes referred to as a "sniff-fest".

  Dog-Friendly Properties

The following properties will consider dogs (case by case basis):

Stony Hill Farm

A beautiful five bedroom post and beam home on 27 private acres in the heart of the Mad River Valley.  Surrounded by miles of dirt roads, trails, fields, woods and streams, your best friend will have almost as much fun as you will!  Our home includes a mudroom for cleaning off doggie paws and an outdoor kennel if you want to safely leave your dog while you go on a day trip.

Wildflower Farm

A private reproduction farmhouse on 100 acres in beautiful Poultney Vermont.  Miles of dirt roads and walking trails abound along with our own fields, woods and streams.  With three bedrooms and den with sofabed, the property also includes a very comfortable kennel.

  Dog Policy

Dogs are considered on a case by case basis at the above properties, at our discretion, and additional charges will apply.  We will want to know the age and breed of your dog, any behavioral issues (chewing, digging, aggression, etc.) and will often ask that you take your dogs with you when you're out, or that you crate/kennel them if you go out without them.  Needless to say, you are responsible for all your dog's behavior/any damages.
